The June Stream, Your Eyes
By A Lone Wolf
Tr. By Shangri-La
The June stream,your eyes, descends
From a high mountain, and winds its way forward
Taking several white clouds,by a large wheat field
A few willows wait quietly, for the brushed tresses
To droop, to droop thousands of minds, lower and lower
Till by chance, they graze a croak, out of the water
Those willow leaves, your mind-penciled eyebrows, twinkle
Hesitating to tell, ‘cause the breeze
Ceaselessly pulls the past, quivering the bygones
Now, along the bank, to the stream, following
A cloud drifting after your trickling sounds, I use my tenderness
Gently to walk you, the June serenity
The wind ripples the wheat, also playing a tune. I fish
Cicada chirps of last year out of my pocket, and one by one tie them on the twigs
After chirping, will a deep affection emerge from your water
