The Earthly Paradise
By Whicker
Tr. By Shangri-La
While you are fast asleep
On the art paper, I splash ink like raindrops into a wild-scribble letter
To the green mountains: Here is an earthly paradise
Come on. Block din from the outside, ridge upon ridge
The river, your kin, do remember to bring along, Only she, the spring river
Runs caroling
The invited cicadas' chirps and the splash resonate
And dance on the river
The echoes, the rondos haunting me
And sonatas presented to you
The uninvited breeze, unveils the earthly paradise all the way
On the shoal, an angler
Sitting from morning into evening, answers each shrub and each bush
The earthly paradise, just for you
Sparkles like stars in your sound sleep
When you are awake, the lifetime is worth dreaming away in it
